PYONGYANG, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Mohamed ElBaradei, head of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday to discuss and finalize the details of the Feb. 13 agreement reached at the Six-Party talks last month in Beijing.

Upon his arrival at the airport, ElBaradei told Xinhua that he hoped "the IAEA can make progress on relationship with the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea)."

"We also can hope to discuss the issues of how we can implement the agreements reached at the Six-Party talks, I hope the outcome is positive," said ElBaradei.

ElBaradei added that the IAEA delegation will hold talks with officials of DPRK Atomic Energy General Bureau (AEGB) during the two-day visit.

ElBaradei was greeted at the airport by the DPRK AEGB international department chief Son Mon-san.

"The specific details of meeting agenda is not available until now," Son told Xinhua at the airport.

As for the outcome of visit, Son said "let's wait and see".

The DPRK expelled IAEA nuclear inspectors in December 2002, and subsequently in January 2003, the country publicly withdrew from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

During last month's six-party talks in Beijing, the DPRK agreedtogive up its nuclear weapons program and to shut down its Yongbyonreactor by mid-April.

Soon after the talks in Beijing, the UN nuclear chief said on Feb. 23 that DPRK had invited him to visit within the next few weeks for talks on its nuclear program.
