Ambassador Liu Met with Leaders of the DPRK Cultural and Educational Departments

On September 21st, Liu Xiaoming ,the new Chinese Ambassador to DPRK, called on Kang Neang Su, minister of culture and Kim Yong Chin, minister of education at the Mansudae Assembly Hall. Kang and Kim extended their welcome to Ambassador Liu. Both sides exchanged views in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.

Kang and Kim stated that DPRK and China were friendly neighbors geographically linked, and the DPRK-China friendship was forged and nurtured by the old generation of leaders in the two countries. The DPRK side always cherished the history. To constantly consolidate and develop the DPRK- China friendly cooperation constituted an unswerving position of the DPRK party and government. Both the ministry of culture and ministry of education had good friendly cooperation with their counterparts in China as evidenced in the favorable interaction and cooperation of both sides in the cultural and educational field. From now on, the DPRK side would continue its effort to push forward the friendly cooperation between these ministries.

Ambassador Liu said that the friendship between China and DPRK was forged and nurtured by the old generation of leaders in the two countries. To continue consolidating and developing the relations of friendly cooperation represented an unswerving policy of the Chinese party and government. The exchanges and cooperation between the cultural and educational departments were an essential part of the China-DPRK friendly cooperation. The Chinese side would actively encourage the friendly exchange and mutually beneficial cooperation between the cultural and educational departments in the two countries.
